Sciacca , shoped like on amphitheater, is situated on the Sicilian Coast, in front of Pantelleria island and Tunisi between Selinunte ruins and Eraclea Minoa. In Agrigento you can see wonderful artworks of the Middle Ages and of barouque period.

 

The principal source for the economy of Sciacca is the catch. Its modern port holds about 500 boats between fishing boats and tourist boats; every year they unload more than 5000 tons of fish. The most practiced catch is the Blue fish, like anchovies and sardines that, through the manifacture in our canning fish industry is exported all over the world, making Sciacca the European leader in this kinf of production.
